Yet Another Drunk Guy

Here's one of my favourite things on Japanese Trains. Drunk people sleeping. You might remember the original Drunk Guy on a Train and Drunk Guys at the Bus Stop, so here's one more.
This event is testimony to the safety of Japan. This guy is sleeping peacefully on a Sunday morning train, no one has bothered him, no one has stolen his watch or beaten him up. People have left him be and the worst thing that has happened to him is that some crazy Gajin took his picture for his blog.
How about you? Could this happen in your area? Or would you expect something terrible to happen?

Those seats look really cushy and comfortable. The seats on the LA subways have no padding. Maybe if they made them less comfortable, the drunk people won't want to sleep on them.
Oh yes, they are VERY comfortable. Much more so than in Sydney.
i live in the u.k, the chances of all her stuff been stolen would be very likely, and it scary but its pretty likely some nasty would come along and you can probabley guess the result. if you can get pissed in japan and people just leave you be then hell yeh im going out there! i wish i could live out there...
