Shopping in Sydney

>> Sunday, 2 August 2009

Here we are in Myer Sydney. I will always remember it as Grace Bros. Sigh.

I miss the distinctive red & white bags with the waratah logo.

Behind the counter of the toy section, staffed with unfriendly and indifferent employees is a Lego model of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Wow.

Wow to the crappy customer service too.

It's all so big inside. I don't feel claustrophobic like I do at Japanese department stores, but then again I don't feel welcome either. Just someone to be tolerated, served and gotten rid of.

The biggest department store in Sydney and it reminds me of what I've seen in Tachikawa. Disappointing.

Wow! Look what I found in my room at City Lodge Sydney, a broken glass. Yep someone broke this glass and just put it back as it was. And I am certain that no staff member checked it.

I put it in the bin, on top of the clothing packaging I was throwing out. It was replaced the next day.
