At Narita Airport
>> Monday, 27 July 2009
Now for some pictures from Nartia Airport.
Here we have the automated system that transports people to the outer gates. It's really neat as you can sit right in the front. I'm sure anyone who has been to Japan would have this as one of their earliest memories. Yes?
Just some JAL planes. This photo was taken from the external observation lounge.
Yay! Souvenirs to buy for people, stuff they don't need or want but will be expected to keep forever because you brought it back for them. I prefer the Japanese style of souvenir giving, give snacks or food because once consumed they no longer take up space.
Hello Kitty stuff. Kelly & Kirin, this picture is for you.
I promise to never buy these things, ever in my life.
Here we are on the transit system, of course I am up the front taking pictures.
And now ready to board. I left home around 15:12 to catch a20:30 flight. Sunburnt & tired, I was not really looking forward to my flight. I said my goodbyes to my family over the phone and headed "Down Under".

Narita is a really nice airport. Much better then the crappy airport we have here in Los Angeles.
Oh yes, you're right, my FIRST memory of Narita airport was that shuttle bus. haha. Oh yes, well where was the hello kitties? I didn't see them. I'll have to look out for them when I go back in november.
BTW, what did your aussie friends/family think of the food gifts you took back home? Interested to find out their reactions.
@Tornadoes
Really? How bad is it? Is it because of low cost airlines??
@Kelly
It was at a souvenir stand not too far from McDonalds. Half of them asked about the Pocky I brought back before, so next time I will bring back Sembe and Pocky. But they enjoyed them, I bought them because _I_ liked them.
Thanks! :)
